About the artist

PROFILE OF JULIE SHAH.

  • DOB : 11th November, 1975.

Qualification
  • Bachelor of Commerce.

  • One Year course in Fine Arts in Private institute.

Since childhood, she always had a passion for art. And as years passed by, the craziness for art went on increasing. The colors create a magic on any surface, be it paper, canvas or a board. During her schooling, history, being her favorite subject has made a mark in her mind. She was very much inspired by the Mughals, the Rajputs, the Roman emperors and many more. This inspiration has helped her to bring it out in the form of painting. And as she come from Hubli, where the city is full of greenery and illustrious bushes, her paintings are based on landscapes. Karnataka is surrounded by forests and having traveled in those forests, she has experienced oneness with the nature. The mountains and the rocks have textured surfaces after the winds leave such a mark on them. She is an admirer of beauty and nature's creation. Never satisfied with her own work makes her strive harder and search beyond her own environment to find a means to better her work. Women are the best creations on this earth. The women of Rajasthan are extremely beautiful and she enjoy their culture and traditions. They are well known for their costumes and jewellery. Few of her paintings have a Rajasthani look.

Art was a means of expression of her feelings, she has always gifted her paintings to a number of people. She had never taken art as a profession, it was only a passion for her. But, later profession and passion came together to make a new creation in the history of life.
